On this blog I am going to write about a different types of research that can be used in order to provide information to you. I am also going to research on mobile phones using the two forms of research.

The difference between primary and secondary research

Secondary is a more easier to get compared to primary information because secondary you can find just by looking at certain things in order to gain that information. I also think that primary information is much more harder to collect because you have to phone or talk to someone who knows about what you are researching or creating a whole questionnaire just to find out what people think of certain things. One good thing about primary research is that it can benefit you in order to give you more.

Different types of research

First of all there is primary research, this is where you go out of your way in order to find research that you have gathered by asking in shops about a certain product or going to the maker of that product and getting information from them. Another way you can gain primary information by asking from somebody who already has that product so that you know that it is actually true. One last way you can get primary research  is by creating questionnaires and getting people to take them so that you know more about their opinions.

Their are also other types of primary research that you could do; drawing is one of them because if your drawing directly from a object in front of you this can be called primary research. Also you could record sounds from something such as someone stomping creating primary research because you are getting it from a first hand source. There are many more ways to do primary research so all you have to do is go the original source of what your looking for then that would be called primary research.

Secondary research is basically where you get information that someone has already got from someone or something and then make it public like in magazines, websites, articles and many other forms of media. you can also look at reviews in order to get secondary research on a secondary product if that is what you are researching.

Qualitive research

This is basically where you where see other peoples opinion’s on what you are asking them about. to get Qualitive research you have to create things such as questionnaires and then you may also need to look at reviews in order to get an opinion of something.

Quantitive research

This is research that is all based on numbers and figures about what you are looking to find out information from. Some ways to get qualitive research is to do pie charts, graphs and other ways to get figures from a question or something that you need to know.

 Capture

I mostly focused on researching phones by doing secondary and primary research. The way the I done primary research was from asking friends about their phones because they had the same ones that I was researching so then I could look into it first hand. I then done secondary research by looking up the phones details on the internet giving a massive production of secondary information.

In this task I have realised how important qualitive and quantitive  research effects what you are looking to research. Also Primary and secondary research can have a big impact on your research because primary information is more reliable than secondary information. I think that from researching using primary and secondary information I found that primary research can be vital when researching something because you get the experience first hand and then know one could lie to you. If you was to secondary research on the internet there may be different data because people got it wrong.  So overall I have learnt that primary information is the most important.
